Solution in natural circulation evaporator is circulated by density
difference between material and liquid. When the liquid is heated in the heating chamber tube, the temperature rises and the density decreases. The density difference between the liquid and the cold solution in the circulating pipe causes the liquid to circulate upward and downward in the heating tube. The heated solution enters the evaporation chamber as sensible heat to flash and cool down. Then it enters the circulating pipe downward and evaporates by circulating heating.
The circulating speed of the solution in the equipment is not large, generally less than 1 m/s. In order to prevent scaling and crystallization, the heating tube should be operated under full immersion. This evaporator is suitable for concentration of solutions with less serious scaling and less corrosiveness. It has the advantages of simple structure, easy manufacture and low power consumption. The disadvantage is that the slow circulating speed of solution is not suitable for materials with high viscosity and large amount of crystallization, and its not suitable for heat sensitive materials also.
